Position: Sales & Marketing Assistant - Fixed Term Contract: Maternity Cover
Start date: August 2018
Hours of work: 37 hours per week. Monday – Thursday: 8.30am to 5.00 pm; Friday: 8.30am to 1:30pm
Salary: Up to £20,000
The Role
We're currently recruiting a Sales & Marketing Assistant for a manufacturer in Bridgend. The role will be based on a fixed term maternity contract, however the role has the possibility of turning permanent.
Duties:
You will be assisting the existing sales team, reporting to the Sales and Marketing Director and responsible for the management of the Company’s CRM tool, website and Social Media channels.
- Management of the Company’s CRM tool including: o Maintaining accurate and up-to-date customer records o Working with the sales team to update the weekly and monthly forecast reports o Maintaining the Sales Enquiry system and track through to won or lost order o Report creation as and when required
- Take responsibility for the day to day maintenance of the Company web site and Social Media channels as our prime marketing tool
- Organisation of international trade shows and other marketing events
- Collect, process, and analyse competitor marketing activity and information
- Plan the implementation of all marketing activities, including updating and amending marketing presentations and materials as and when required
- Management of the sample schedule alongside the Applications Laboratory including full responsibility for all admin functions relating to the process and ensuring samples are turned around in a timely fashion
- Manage the Sales and Marketing Departments’ contribution to the overall Company Satisfaction program
- Act as a team player by willingly helping in any area of the business in support of customers, suppliers, or colleagues. This will include, from time to time, such duties as telephone answering, receptionist, and miscellaneous admin tasks.
The Person:
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business or related field is desirable
- Previous experience in a similar role is desirable
Job Specific Skills / Personal Qualities
- Strong written and verbal communication skills are essential to engage with internal and external contacts.
- Accuracy and a high level of attention to detail with proven ability to multi-task, organise and plan own time to meet deadlines.
- A positive attitude and the ability to work effectively both within a team and independently.
- Competent user of Microsoft applications including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
